What is Market Day? We offer the chance to buy through Market Day on a monthly basis. Pre-printed order forms are made available to our members and friends at the Information and Welcome Center near the main entrance to the church. Completed order forms are due back at the church approximately 10 days prior to the monthly scheduled pickup. Orders may also be placed at the Market Day website -- just register on behalf of account # 1195, Friendship United Methodist Church. Web orders may be placed as late as noon on the Wednesday before a Saturday pickup. Web orders may be charged to your credit card or designated as pay by check on delivery. All other orders are pay by check on delivery. The monthly food pickup for Friendship Church is combined with that of the Bolingbrook Jaycees. Pickup is at Friendship United Methodist Church, from 9 - 10:00 a.m. on the second Saturday of the month (watch the pickup dates -- while it is always Saturday, on occasion it is the third Saturday!). The food products offered include various meats and fish, vegetables, desserts, and convenience items. There is a wide selection of items and everything is quite delicious! Food items are frozen for easy storage and usually offer individually wrapped items for convenience. Prices are also quite reasonable. Enjoy good food, help the church and get a tax break too! Since 10% of the proceeds are returned to the First Friends PreSchool, you can take a tax deduction for 10% of the cost of your food if you itemize. (Check with your tax advisor--we're not lawyers!) Our schedule for the balance of 2006 is shown below.
